EXOTIC ,intriguingly unusual or different; excitingly strange. The students of Phillips Academy in Sydney, Australia have been labeled as the ‘richest and most charmed’, a title that tends to fit them quite well. Sure there are the few students there on scholarship, but for the most part they’re all of Sydney’s elite. Most would say these kids have no idea what the real world is really like or how it would eat them alive if it could. But those people would be wrong about a certain group of teenagers that go to the academy. Last April tragedy hit the student body when a young man, Parker Trent, was found face down in the school’s swimming pool. No one knew how he got there, no one knew why he was there, all they knew was that he hadn’t been alone. After an investigation of the student body turned up nothing, the school decided to put the tragedy behind them and just move on. Summer soon came and things went back to how they had always been.
But now there’s a new Headmaster of Phillips, Gregory DuPont, and he has a new out look on things. Being promoted from an assistant to the previous Headmaster, he knows all about what went on last April and he plans to find out who was with Parker the night he died. And to do so, he is hiring a new Basketball coach, Jeremy Pryce. Jeremy's, a student at the local university and a alumni of Phillips, only goal is to get close to the group of students that Parker hung out with in order to get down to the bottom of things. But as he pushes further into the group he learns things that would not only incriminate them but him as well. And the more he digs, the more he begins to fall for a certain girl who could be the link in the whole story of that night. But there’s a weak link within the group, one who thought they should have been honest from the beginning. Will they come forward and tell what really happened? Or will Jeremy figure things out before they get the chance? One thing’s for certain. Things here are...
