Valentine Bogman was a lively child. From birth to when she reached junior high. Growing up in Tennesse would do that to anyone. But as she aged, she became more sweet and naive almost. Valentine turned into a charming, kind person that anyone would want to be friends with. Her small stature and cute smile could charm anyone off their feet. Well, anyone except Booker Lindsay. He was impossible for Valentine to befriend. It was like he didn't even want to be associated with her and that made her furious. She did everything in her power to befriend the boy, but nothing was working. But suddenly things changed. One day Booker called Valentine, finally showing interest in her. She was overjoyed. The two became close and a relationship started to grow. Everyday after school they'd call eachother and talk for hours. Being at seperate school was hard and Valentine hated it.
Then came the big step, Booker and Valentine were singing at a local show, not even serious about the whole thing. After the show a scout from Hoffman Academy approached them asking them to consider coming to Hoffman. It was like the moment of truth for Booker and Valentine, they had the decision of going and getting out of Tennessee or staying and not knowing if they would ever get out.
They choose Hoffman but before they did, they decided to cement their relationship. At eighteen years old Booker Lindsay made Valentine, Valentine Lindsay. Surprisingly his parents had warmed to the idea and Valentine’s family gave no objection to the situation or none that Booker could see. They spent the summer leading into their junior year in Tennessee packing their belongings and saying goodbye to friends and then in August they arrived at Hoffman ready to make their marriage last and find their voices. Even though Booker was old enough to be a senior, he didn’t want to be finished with school when Valentine wasn’t so Booker enrolled as a junior.

in life, all valentine wants is to keep her loved ones happy and smiling. she wants to please booker as a wife, she wasnts to show her parents she can be more than nothing, and she wants to be loved. her musical voice is pleasing to the ears and she uses it to keep on peoples good sides. people rarely ever get frusterated with her and when they do valentine merely smiles and says a little suck up frase. and she's set. valentine is a smart girl and uses her sweet manners to seranade anyone. it worked on booker after all. which she's thankful for. without booker, she'd still be in tennesse singing at dinner bars.

being sweet is just the first part of valentine. she is one of the nicest people you'll have ever met in your lifetime. she loves everyone she knows. valentine has never had a sworn enemy or someone who is out to get her. people merely can't hate her if they know her. of course, there are those people who hate her because everyone likes her, yet these people don't even know valentine. that's what makes it strange. it common for everyone though. people are quick to judge. it's how life is sometimes. but valentine takes everything in stride. even her marriage to booker wasn't as rushed as some might think. but marrying booker was the best thing valentine has ever done, in her opinion.

one of the things that makes valentine so likeable, is that she never says things to upset people or to push their buttons. valentine is always complimenting people and lifting them up, never knocking them off their high horse. she's often quiet and shy, but it's just because she's in thought. valentine is just agreeable to people. she's never a bitch, unless it's really necessary.
