personality
attentive
at·ten·tive [uh-ten-tiv] -adj.
characterized by or giving attention; observant
being in a large family andrew learned to listen to everything at once. he can take in more than one conversation at a time. sometimes his mother would tell him that he was like a girl the way he could talk to five people at once. andrew didn't think much of that, other than contemplating whether it was a compliment or an insult.
mediator
me·di·a·tor [mee-dee-ey-ter] -noun
a person who mediates, esp. between parties at variance.
after being raised in a large family, andrew learned to work problems out, to talk them through. he, being the middle child, always was the one looking in on a situation, not in the middle of it. he would however, be the one to step in and calm things down. when his older sister would nag his little brother, andrew would tell her to listen to michael instead of starting to yell at him. when his older brother started to pick a fight with any of the others, andrew would pull him aside and talk to him about what was going on. andrew is a very calm guy, he just wants people to not make things worst than they need to be. talking through a problem is the best way to solve it.
guarded
guard·ed [gahr-did] -adj.
cautious; careful, protected, watched, or restrained.
this is another factor to do with his family. andrew's mother didn't have much time for her children, but that doesn't mean andrew didn't have some sort of parenting. no way. it was andrew's older siblings that taught him everything and such. but sometimes siblings aren't the best teachers or parents. andrew's older brother feels responsible for his siblings. he sort of stepped up and took on the father role of the family. he was very protective of his siblings, telling them dating was forbidden until they were old enough, meaning until he said they could. andrew has had girlfriends and such, but never anything serious. most of the time the girls are scared away by andrew's brother. he's not very welcoming or friendly at first. so andrew sort of has a grudge. it's understandable though.
simplistic
sim·plis·tic [sim-plis-tik] -adj.
characterized by extreme simplism; oversimplified.
andrew is not complex. most guys say girls are confussing and most girls say guys are confussing. either way...andrew has never fit those cliches, which did i mention he's determinded to never fit a cliche? well, andrew does make things more complicated then they have to be. if he likes a girl, he'll tell her. if he doesn't like a certain person, he'll go tell them. and if andrew has anything to say about something...that's right, he'll damn right say it. he doesn't use large words to confuse people. and he doesn't state facts that don't pertain to the conversation. he's just plain himself. that's how andrew rolls.
