It was a bright and sunny day in Chicago, when little Rowan Herre was born to Janice Herre. She was only sixteen at the time, so after having the baby in her room with the assistance of her best friend Gretta, she brought the baby to the hospital and left him in the arms of a nurse that was working in the ER. Janice stayed just long enough to give the nurse her name and then she left. Rowan never met his mother.

Rowan was then placed in an orphange in Chicago and was raised by a little old lady named Yvette. She was a stout woman, and very caring towards Rowan. She is the closest Rowan ever got to having a mother figure. He didn't make a lot of friends at the orphange because most of the kids were tough as nails and Rowan remained sweet and optimistic. Living in the orphanage made Rowan extremely emotionally calloused because even though Yvette was a sweet woman, the children that lived there were street tough. One night Rowan was held a knife point, while two other boys stole almost all of his clothes and shoes so they could go live on the street.

One day, when Rowan was eleven, Senator Gregory Randall and his wife Marguerite came to Rowan's orphange to donate money. The building was old, the food was inedible, and all the kids were so skinny that they looked like herion addicts. Marguerite went to visit the children and fell in love with Rowan's curly blonde hair and big brown eyes. She talked with Rowan a bit and she intantly felt a connection. Rowan was charming, and sweet even though he'd been through a lot. Marguerite and Gregory had never had any kids because Marguerite wasn't able to bear children. A few months later, Rowan was adopted by the Randalls and he added got a new last name.

Life was very different with the Randalls. Rowan had his own room, with a big bed. Rowan discovered television for the first time. He didn't move from in front of the TV for three days when he first moved in. The Randalls were very wealthy, so Rowan got whatever he wanted, but he didn't ask for much. He was shocked when he got presents during his first Christmas. Mauguerite was gentle and kind to Rowan, but Gregory was always distant. He was always away because of his job as a politician. Rowan liked Gregory enough, but there was never really a connection between the two.

Rowan was enrolled at a prestigious private school and was floored by the fancy and prissy preps that walked the halls. Rowan didn't fit in because he never really felt connected to any of them, so he flew under the radar for junior high. Rowan fell in love with the art department, especially ceramics. He would make Marguerite bowls and vases, which made Marguerite very happy because she loved that Rowan finding his place at school. Rowan became very close to the art nerds, and when he graduated junior high, Marguerite asked him if he would like to attend Hoffman Academy in London. Rowan jumped at the idea and he was enrolled at Hoffman. Marguerite cried when he got on the plane, while Gregory gave him a firm handshake.

Rowan has stayed optimistic and cheerful through his mess of a childhood. He is the a polite boy that always opens doors for girls and helps a student pick up the books he or she has just dropped. He is very softspoken, and generally keeps to himself, but when he befriends someone he is always there for them. Rowan is usually the guy that will bring you up to your dorm when you're trashed and stay with you to make sure you keep breathing.

ARTIST
Rowan is dedicated completely to his art. He basically lives in the Art Studios, always making something out of clay. He takes his art very seriously and gets offended when people mock him. He won't show it, but deep down it really makes him angry. Rowan loves making various things and always gives away his art to friends.

GUARDED
Rowan is very hesistant to let anyone get too close to him, for he is afraid of loving someone. His mother left him right after he was born and it has made him feel that whenever he loves someone they leave. Even though he has never met his mother, he thinks about her every night. He wants to meet her desperately. Rowan is very shy around girls that he likes, because he is afraid that he won't be loved back. His adoptive father never seemed to have time for him, so Rowan has never felt the presence of a father figure. Rowan doesn't have many crushes because he's scared he'll get crushed.

He can usually be found wearing tee shirts from obscure bands, because he doesn't most of his shopping at thrift stores. Not because it's trendy or edgey, because that's what he feels comfortable in. He usually wears hoodies when he works, and he always has his iPod in his ears as he works.
