character’s name Dalia Nera-Anne Fable gender female discipline dance :: ballet age seventeen sexuality heterosexual
{ comes home on call, isn't that peace,
history Dalia's aunt, Nera Fable, died of breast cancer, and unfortunately her mom, Kaliegh Fable, followed the same way soon after [she also had recently suffered from lung cancer due to her smoking, which made it that much harder for her body to fight the new cancerous cells in different parts of her body]. Dalia was born April 3rd 1990, in New York. She was born to a beautiful mother and father, both very young but exceptionally wealthy. She was an accident, however her mother embraced it. At first, so did her father.
But as she grew up, he grew more and more horrible. He began beating Dalia and her mother. Soon, the abuse grew into something more; at 8 years old, he raped her. Dalia's mother walked in on it and divorced him. The abuse continued until finally he was removed by the police and a restraining order was placed. A few years later, dalia's mother met another man.
At 13 she was raped again, this time by her mothers boyfriend. She said nothing and endured the beatings she received every day, too afraid to speak up. She missed a period and began getting morning sickness; she went to the doctors after school one day, and was later informed she was pregnant. She was too far along to abort, and therefore forced to keep the baby. But her body rejected it and attacked it like it was a parasite, telling her body to naturally abort and causing Dalia to lose the baby.
And then at 15, the same year she was diagnosed with cancer, she met a boy. She thought she had fallen in love; but she hadn't. She had just recovered from the sexual abuse that she received from her step father, and was only beginning to trust men again. What do you know, the boy rapes her. After that it was all a downhill spiral. Dalia dropped eating and picked up drinking. When she was wasted, it didn't matter if she was being taken advantage of or beaten. It's not like she'd have any memories of it in the morning, besides the bruises.
The news of her cancer caused her drinking to worsen [if at all possible] and cause more violant attacks directed at her. Rather then being sympathetic of her cancer as most families would be, she was shunned and looked down upon as a broken, diseased misfit just squatting in their home. She had several chemo sessions, which caused her cancer to go into remission. The doctors said that it was more then likely her cancer would pop up again in later years.
At 16, Dalia was left alone with her moms boyfriend. She was making dinner so her mom would have something to eat when she got home (this was about a month before her mom lost her battle with cancer). The boyfriend came at her, pinning her against the counter. Her mind became a blurr and she wasn't sure if he was going to rape her or beat her; all she knew was moments later, the knife she had been using to cut the bread was in him.
When her mom lost her battle with cancer, Dalia became boarder-line suicidal. It was because of how horribly fast her life was going down hill that her father, the one that had raped her, sent her to Hoffman Academy in hopes it would turn her life around and 'make up' for what he did. To everyones surprise, Dalia has put up an amazing facade that hides her past. No one would guess at first glance what she has been through.
edit to ad;; Dalia's middle name, "Nera-Anne" was given to her in memorium of her aunt that passed away [Nera Anne Fable]
Also, her father came back into her life just before she turned seventeen, which is how she got into this academy. He is married to a very rich, very snobby women, and they reside in New York. They aren't anywhere near the friendliest people, and use an iron fist with Dalia. They're trying to turn her into and keep her the 'perfect daughter'.
parents Kaliegh Fable, deceased, mother Ben Delacrove, father (re-married) siblings none
{ am I losin' way too much
personality L O V E Something Dalia has never felt, but longs to. Never has she been kissed goodnight and told, "I love you." Never has she left the house to hear, "Have fun hunny, be safe! Love you!" Never has she been hugged, held, or kissed. Not by a parent, a family member, friend, or lover. She's been alone for seventeen years.
F E A R Blood, death, trauma, abuse, rape. Dalia has been raped by a boy she thought she could fall in love with, her mothers boyfriend, and by her own father. She fears being sexual with guys now, although she would be; she just needs to know that they aren't out to hurt her.
S E C R E T S Dalia has never told anyone about the abuse she has endured throughout her entire life. She puts up a hard front, scared to let anyone in; but if you do break down the walls she has put up, she'll tell you everything you want to know. Even though she's covered in bruises, she hides them well. She's also anorexic, but it's nearly impossible to tell unless you notice her eating habits [or lack thereof]. She was raped three times, once by her moms boyfriend, once by her own father, and once by an everyday boy. She's never told anyone about it, and is something she harbors inside every day.
S H A M E Dalia was brought up to believe that everything that happened and happens to her is her fault. And, tragically, being raised around that theory for so long has caused her to believe it. Every scar, every broken bone, every bruise she receives she believes is her fault. She has even been convinced the rapes were her fault.
E X T R A . . . On first glance, Dalia appears like a quiet, innocent, richy-rich girl loner. Really, she's broken and self-conscious. She's very quiet and secretive, always putting walls up to block people out. No one has ever tried to tear them down; she just wishes someone would. She's very self-conscious, currently battling with anorexia.
She's never had a true friend, and has never felt what it's like to be loved. She thought she felt it at one point, with a much older boy; she was beginning to see he was using her. When she tried to leave him, he raped her. Now, battered and bruised not only by her 'family', she's lost trust in the human-race in general. She is not in the least bit racist, homophobic, or judge mental to people that are "different".
Past the walls, Dalia is a sweet girl. Funny, compassionate, sensitive, full of love. But initially, if someone said that about her, it would be nearly impossible to believe. She hides herself from people, giving them the side of her that doesn't feel the pain from their words and physical abuse. She's scared to let anyone in, but she's tired of being alone. She needs someone. No one can live their life alone in its entirety.

{ my darling you look lovely
portrayed by? brittany snow eyes blue hair blond height 5' 4'' style Dalia doesn't follow trends, but she doesn't make them either. To put it bluntly, she just.. dresses. She shops at all the high-end stores such as American Eagle, Hollister, Abercombie and the like. However she doesn't go and dish out hundreds upon hundreds of dollars. She goes straight to the sale rack and buys from there, knowing that it's still in style and half the dent as regular prices. Because of her very shy and timid attitude she generaly only wears dark jeans or loose sweat pants, never stepping into a skirt or shorts. She wears her hair as a lot of the more 'preppy' girls - bleach blond, although not as intensely, and perfect side bangs with the whole head straightened.
