history
Returning from a year long business trip, Calum Channing was expecting his lovely, model fiance to have run off with another man. He wouldn't have been suprised atall. So seeing her, settled in his two bedroomed apartment, was such a wonderful suprise. But, what was even more suprising, was the gorgeous baby girl sleeping peacefully in his, now not so, spare room. Calum didn't quite understand how this had happened, but Caroline soon explained, that just before he'd left she'd discovered she was pregnant again, but she wasn't sure if she wanted another baby. After thinking it through she had gone ahead with the pregnancy. Not wanting him to ruin his once in a lifetime business deal, she had not told him the news, knowing that he would have insisted he returned immediately.
So the story was set, Caroline and Calum were thrilled, they named the baby Alexis, and bought her everything Calum's newly aquired fortune could buy. Growing up, Alexis was spoilt, she had everything. The latest toys, a fantastically decorated room with her very own television, and video collection. However, this didn't turn her into a spoilt brat, no. The way her mother treated her discouraged that. Caroline's theory was that Alexis had everything, therefore she didn't need attention. Unlike Caroline's older son, Christian [nine years older than Alexis] who got all the attention he wanted. Caroline was far more interested in her career than in her daughter. She'd wait until Calum had left for work, and then call a nanny to come and spend the day caring for her children, then return before Calum did, and act as though she'd been there all day.
Growing up In Italy, she attended an Italian school, spoke Italian with her friends and locals. But when at home, she was forced to speak English, which had initially been what Caroline had taught her as a toddler. Aged fifteen, Alexis was tired of her mothers rules and regulations. Caroline was never at home any more, she'd given up modelling to open a school in London, much to Alexis' surprise. So now she was old enough to look after herself, Caroline didn't bother to call anyone to look after her. She simply waited for Calum to leave for work, and Alexis to leave for school and she was gone, leaving Alexis to cook dinner when she came home from school. One night, Calum had decided to leave his work early, and spend a night in with his family, only to find his teenage daughter cooking, and his wife nowhere to be seen.
After a long string of arguments, this was the final straw for Calum. He packed Caroline's bags, and waited for her to come home. An hour passed, and she finally did return to the flat, only to find her bags packed, and her husband absolutely livid. Alexis hid in her room as the argument went on into the early hours of the morning. At four O'clock AM on june seventeenth, her mother came into her room, tear stained face, and told her to pack her things. Naturally, Alexis refused. Why would she want to live with her mother, who would move her out to London, and change her school? The very idea puzzled her. Her mother, who treated her like a slave, no thank you. When she argued, her mother became impatient, and began to pack her things herself, telling her not to be stupid, and that of course! she was coming with her.
That was the night, the night the truth came out. "He's not your real father!" The words still ring through her head from time to time. So there it was, the truth. Calum was not Alexis' father, some man named Paulo was. Calum was Christian's father, but not Alexis'. Apparently this was the first Calum had heard of it too, as he forced her to prove it, putting Alexis through what seemed like a lifetime of different tests. It was confirmed, Alexis was not Calum's biological daughter. Nevertheless, Alexis still wanted to stay with Calum, he was her stability.
And so, when Caroline finally gave in, Alexis and her father moved away lived together in Italy, but not for long. Shortly after her mother had moved out to London, to be a proper principal, and not a long distance one, she died. Lost her life in a car accident. Alexis was shocked, but not upset. Her father took the news well, and decided that now was the right time to propose to his long time girlfriend. Alexis liked Amber, but not enough to live with her. Christian was hurt by his mother's passing, and invited Alexis out to stay with him for a while in London, whilst pondering this, she had an idea. Why didn't she just transfer there instead, then she'd be able to spend time with the one relative who hadn't let her down, and have an intirely new life.

{ am I losin' way too much
personality
{STRONG, Miss. Channing is an extremely strong character, her opinions and ideas are all carefully thought out, and usually, although she doesn't like to say it aloud, right. Alexis was brought up in a household where her parents' opinion were forced down her throat, and what they thought was correct, therefore she now likes to have her opinions heard.
{HAPPY, Despite any hardship she has ever faced, Alexis truely is happy. Lot's of people have wonderful ways of covering up sadness with a smile, but Alexis' has never been one to do that. There is usually a smile placed firmly on her face. She would never 'fake' being happy, she just is. It's in her nature to just get on with things, and not let them get her down.
{CONFIDENT, Alexis is an extremely confident little thing, she knows she's pretty, and intelligent, yet she would never flaunt her knowledge of that in someones face. Sure, she uses it to her advantage, but never tells people she's pretty. As long as she knows it, she doesn't care.
{SOFT, When it comes to guys, Alexis has had her fair share. But although alot of guys have caught her eye, none have truely caught her heart. Although she would never admit it, she would love a guy to care about her and do nothing but protect her from things that hurt her. She's the type of girl that likes to cuddle and stay with that boyfriend for a long period of time, not play them. Alexis has never cheated on a boyfriend, but sadly you couldn't say the same about them.

Alexis likes things that show off her body; dresses, tight jeans, v-shirts. She isn't a hooker, she just likes to show off the body that she loves. Her hair is normally down, straight or curly and her shoes; high heels or vans. Her appearel is normally in the range of one-hundred dollars to two hundred dollars. She happy with what she wears because it makes her look good. Oh so good. Everything has to match in her taste. You can't wear a black top with a pink skirt, well you could, but you'd look like a clown. You could say that Alexis cares a little too much about her appearance. But her motto; look good while you still can!

The clock on her bed-stand read 4:30 A.M. Never was Ainsley a very heavy sleeper and her fear of thunderstorms didn't help at this exact moment. As the lightning and thunder had continued for hours, the brunette laid beneath the cotton sheets covering her queen sized bed. When she finally decided sleeping was completely out of question she stepped onto the white carpet. With only a few more steps she was standing directly in front of her huge closet, packed completely with clothes. Ainsley ran her newly manicured nails over the hanger, eying the selection of clothing she owned and finally deciding on a pair of denim shorts along with an oversized top that read 'I'm Famous on Myspace'.
Ainsley was one of the most scatter brained people, she could never find anything when she needed it. That was the case as she stumbled across her room in search of her cell phone. After shuffling through everything on her bedside table, she finally found it beneath a stack of paper on her desk. Picking up the phone, she decided texting was much easier and hoped that whoever she decided to text would be awake. Thinking it over for only a moment, Hunter seemed to be the one person she wanted to see right now after going about two days without seeing him at all, she was beginning to miss him. Her fingers moved across the keys on her phone as she quickly typed, looking over the message once before pressing send.
hey, bby. bored, come over here c u soon.
Time had passed slowly but, it was still 4:30 in the morning. If she actually ended up waking Hunter, hopefully an apology or two could brush the whole thing off and they could act like it never happened. It wouldn't surprise her if he was awake though, the roaring thunder was enough to keep anyone awake, unless of course they were one of those who could sleep through a hurricane. Walking downstairs to the living room with her cell phone in hand, Ainsley's mind drifted away into though. Why did they actually call it a living room? Aren't you alive in every room? It's not like you go into the living room and you're living and then you go into the bathroom and then you die. It was the small things like these that got her to really thinking and questioning the world.
Reaching the living room, Ainsley plopped down on the couch and curled into a ball, decided she might as well wait here for her company so he could just knock and she would be able to hear it rather than him having to ring the door bell and wake up Ryan who was asleep in her upstairs bedroom. Unlike her, Ryan could sleep through anything at all without trouble and it was hell trying to wake her up but, if that loud ass doorbell rang it was sure to wake her up. Thankfully her parents were off in Greece for vacation and Ainsley wasn't going to get in trouble for the things she did while they were gone unless she went off and got pregnant or something but, that was a little far fetched for someone like her who was more likely to keep to herself than anyone else.
Sleep Deprived and almost dying of boredom, the perfect description for Ainsley at the current moment in time. It was hard for her to keep her eyes open and just laying her on the couch without anything except waiting for Hunter and the roaring thunder to keep her awake. Hoping to keep herself from being too bored, she curled her French manicured hand around the remote to the television and flicked on the T.V. With a click of the button that read 'guide' she was browsing through titles of movies, shows, and the additional game channels. She decided there wasn't much on and finally settled on a repeat of MTV's Scarred. Ainsley was never a big fan of extreme sports personally but, with all her compassion she enjoyed watching idiots hurt themselves and end up recording it. Perhaps she wasn't the sweetest of people but, it was kind of hilarious watching people do idiotic things.
When a commercial break came along, she stood up from her position on the comfortable couch and walked to the kitchen where her live in house keeper Estella stood. Ainsley smiled at the older woman, "Can I have a strawberry smoothie?" she questioned and with a nod, she pulled out the blender and necessary ingredients before beginning to make the smoothie which was ready in a matter of minutes. "Thank you." she smiled and took the drink from her, returning to her position at the couch. Time was being wasted and it just made her exhausted to an extreme. She needed to sleep, "Estella, if anyone comes over for me, please let them in." she requested, talking a bit louder than previously because of the growing distance between the two.
Returning to the curled up position on the couch, she closed her aqua blue orbs, the thunder and lightning ending but, the rain still remained, falling from the sky in cold droplets one after another. It wasn't long before she fell into a slumber but it wasn't exactly peaceful. Nightmares of the past haunted her, everything was so similar to the actual event. It was her, sitting beside the hospital bed where her loved one lied, his heart beat barely existent until the exact moment of 5:43 A.M, the moment the heart beat ceased completely taking him from the world and breaking her heart. It was all so perfect before that moment but then, the change had happened. One that changed all of the Matthews family and her. It made her cold hearted to many but the honest truth was she was simply broken hearted over the whole thing.
Sweat poured down her body as she woke, the memory would haunt her forever and she could merely try and forget but, it wasn't as easy as some people made it seem. When you fall in love, you never expect anything bad to happen and you always wish for the best but, whatever comes may not always be that. Ainsley had heard the story of Cinderella and always wished for that kind of love and when she finally got it, only bad things came. I guess you can only receive so many miracles. The incident with Conner was enough to prove that fairy tales don't always have a happy ending and Ainsley was one of those who gave up way too soon. Whenever one thing didn't end so great, she gave up on waiting for another to.
Maybe that was the reason it was so hard for her to tell Hunter that she fell for him. When they had met years ago it had started out as a friendship but now, she had this huge developed crush on him but, she was simply terrified of telling him because she didn't want to end up with what she had left of a broken heart to be destroyed too by yet another guy. All she could do was hope that this would work out well. The rest was destiny.
