When Aimee agreed to marry Daniel, she was the happiest girl in the world. She had a wonderful fiance, a nice flat that she could call her own, and hopefully, in the near future, a child?
The wedding passed, and their relationship was wonderful, but Aimee longed for a child. Longed for something that would be hers and Daniels forever, that they would raise and love for the rest of their lives. So when Aimee fell pregnant she was, understandably, euphoric. This was the best news she could have wished for.
As the pregnancy went on, Aimee had to leave her job as a clothes shop assistant, leaving Daniel to put the food on the table, which he was more than capable of. Daniel was a property developer, and he made a fair bit of money, meaning that he could support his new family nicely.
When Effy was born, everyone commented on how lucky the young couple were to have a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Daniel and Aimee cherished and spoiled Effy, she was their only child, and as she grew up she found that anything she wanted, they would get her.
Many would think that this would leave Effy as a spoiled, stuck up girl, but it did nothing of the sort. It made her realize that not everyone had everything that wanted, and that she was extremely lucky at her parents' fortune.
Rows were not unusual in the Beau household. Now eleven, Effy was used to hearing the raised voices of her parents vibrate through the walls of their house. Hearing the smashing of glass as her mother threw yet another glass to the ground. So it didn't exactly shock Ef when her parents announced their devorce, three months before her 12th birthday.
Aimee recovered quickly from the divorce, she couldn't wait to get on with her life, Daniel, however, did not get over it in the same way. He ran away. He was still so in-love with Aimee that he had to leave, he couldn't possibly be around to watch her fall in-love with someone else, the same way she had with him all those years ago. Devon, England was his new choice of home. Not too far away that Effy wouldn't be able to visit, but far enough away that he wouldn't ever have to see Aimee's face again.
And so joint custody was arranged. Effy spent half of the year with her father in England, and the other half with her mother in France. Miss. Beau love this, she felt she got to enjoy the best of two worlds. She attended two different schools, learnt two languages, and had two completely different lives.
In her fourteenth year of life, the end of June came, and she packed her belongings and travelled to her Fathers. She had a few friends, same as she did in Paris, but one person, one boy had caught her eye, and never left her mind. Aaron Silkwood, a handsome, cool, intelligent seventeen year old, who seemed to like her, much to her fathers dismay. They began dating, secretly at first, but after a month or so Effy revealed their relationship to her father. Although it was only a three year age gap, Daniel was extremely displeased, as was Aimee, who immediately forced Effy to return home, despite her moaning, and the fact that it was terribly upsetting for her to leave Aaron.
Effy swore she was in-love with Aaron, and that she would never be happy again if her mother forced her to move to potter academy, but her mother wasn't listening. She was enrolling Effy at a school in London, far enough away from Aaron that she wouldn't be able to see him, but not too far from her mother or her father. The young girls refusal was silenced, and they soon left France behind, never to visit Devon again, never to see Aaron. Since then, she has lost contact with her father, they occasional speak on the telephone, or exchange emails, but she hasn't seen him in at least a year, as it's difficult living away from one another. This has left a hole in Effy, and when she occasionally thinks of Aaron, or her father, it gets her down, she left a piece of her behind that day she left England. A piece she is yet to get back...

Depending on under what curcumstances you met Effy, you'd create a completely different image of her. If, you met her whilst she was under pressure, you'd think of her as a thingyy, sarcastic teenager, who cares about no-one but herself. Effy has an extremely sharp tongue, and if she's strained, she doesn't hesitate to say what she thinks, no matter who's feelings her opinions may hurt. Obviously she regrets this afterwards, and tries hard to make amends with those she's upset.
However, did you meet her when she was perfectly at ease, you'd think she was one of the most charming people you'd ever met. With a dazzling smile and intellectual conversation to keep you entertained. Although when you first see her you wouldn't think so, ef delights in seeing others happy, especially if their happiness is down to her. She is devoted to her friends, if one of them is upset, she'll be there, box of tissues and tub of icecream in hand. She's not a stranger to pain, she's suffered quite alot of it in her short life, probably more than she deserves.
Effy can be harsh, if she doesn't agree with something she won't holdback on setting something straight. Miss. Beau has an addictive personality, once you've spent a day with her, you wouldn't want to let her slip out of your life for good. Overall she's a happy person, she tries not to let things get to her, as she knows if she does it will affect her for longer that it would most. Although she's close to those she loves, aquantiances, who think they've got a pretty good idea of what she's like, actually have no idea. Until she trusts someone, they will never know what she's like, not really. She has an incredible facade, that she very rarely lets down to those she doesn't feel for.
If there's one thing that Effy hates more than anything else, it's being let down. Being left. This has occoured twice in her life, when she's been abandoned by people she relys on. These two occasions Ef spiralled downward, and cut herself off from everyone else. Although this annoys alot of people, and they think she does it simply for attention, she doesn't do it on purpose. Half the time she doesn't even realize she's doing it, until she looks around and notices all her friends have moved on, have all changed, and she's been left behind.
When it comes to boys, Effy isn't exactly shy, she's wary. Although she doesn't flaunt her body like alot of girls her age, she has a certain aura about her that seems to attract people. She has poise, and, even though you wouldn't particularily pick her out in a crowd, once you knew her, you certainly wouldn't forget her...

Effy likes to wear vintage clothes, she enjoys searching through old boutiques trying to find things that no-one else will have. Nice, simple day-dresses are her favourites for warmer days. However, on colder days she opts for a different look, which usually consists of a pair of skinny jeans, a plain shirt or tee-shirt, and a hoody. For dressed up occasions Ef has a small collection of dresses, which are mostly dresses with a corset top and some form of big skirt attatched to the bottom.

♥She laughed, although the sound was somewhat off. The lump in her throat couldn't make the laughter sound real. Of course she was happy, but she couldn't help but dread the next few days. Telling Brydan would be the hardest part. How do you tell someone you've been with for a year, that you'd hidden your feelings for their best friend for that whole time, but now you couldn't hide them anymore? She was a horrible person, and she couldn't believe she was going to do that to Brydan. But it had to be done, after tonight she couldn't spend another minute lying to Brydan, it wasn't fair on anyone. As he held his phone to his hear Effy frowned, she wasn't trying to listen, but it was very difficult not to in the quiet car. All she could hear was someone shouting, and then an interruption from someone else which made them seem slightly calmer. After that first message her brain shut off, she simply concentrated on the driving, watching the patterns the headlights cast into the shadows with intense eyes. Had she been paying attention she would have heard Brydan's voice, and that would have made her feel ten times worse than she already did. So the fact that she wasn't concentrating was extremely lucky. As his warm hand ran along the smooth curve of her thigh a chill ran down her spine. She smirked to herself as she regained her thoughts and turn to smile at him. His face was all she could think about right now, he's icy blue eyes that could make her melt inside, thinking of that she chewed her lower lip, turning her concentration back. She remembered how many times she'd been out with friends, and Harper had been there, talking about some girl he'd met the night before, and how, at the time, it killed her to admit it to herself, but it ate her up with jealously. Was that how it'd been for Harper seeing her with Brydan? If he truely had cared about her all the time like he'd said he had... She didn't want to think about it anymore. And the sound of Harper's gentle voice helped her with this, as she couldn't concentrate on anything but his words.
♥ His words made her chest ache. Had she really made the wrong decision, would things be different now if she'd have told Harper how she felt? She gritted her teeth, not wanting to think, she wanted any thoughts in her head to stop, to go away until she was capable to think them through properly. At the time, she had loved Brydan. Of course, she still did, but not in the same way as she had back then. But Harper, when she'd needed ot make a decision, hadn't shown any interest in her whatsoever, so naturally she choose Brydan, and no, when she thought about it she didn't regret that decision. For many reasons, mainly because she'd had a wonderful time with Brydan, and she truely had been in-love with him for the best part of their relationship. But throughout the time they spend, there was always a part of her that had craved Harper, wanted in to be his arms around her, wanting to spend the night in his arms kissing him, instead of with Brydan. But at the time, it had been a small part, that she could lock up and ignore. Over time, however, that little bit of her had grown, and now it was tearing her apart, forcing her to hurt someone, and the odds were in Harper's favor. As the next sentence slipped from his lips she turned to him, her eyes a little wider than usual. "I don't feel I need to choose you..." She clarified, before continuing "But I will, regardless Any tension in her jaw was lifted as she turned and met his gaze, her eyes soft, like a small child who needed protecting from her troubles.
♥ She arched a brow as the words slid out of his mouth in a blur, having caught most of the sentence and understanding she let her dark eyes scan the road. She'd never actually been to Harper's beach house, although reports from Brydan told her it was fantastic. Thinking the name made her breathing speed up, as if she was driving to meet him and going to explain that she'd fallen in love with his best friend. That wasn't even the worst part, the part that would hurt Brydan the most was that Effy had lied to both him, and herself about her feelings for Harper for such a long time. She blocked out his name after that, and any thoughts of him as she drove down the long drive towards Harper's family's beach house. Pulling the handbrake on as she pulled to a stop, she pulled the key from the ignition and passed it to Harper, without allowing herself to look at him. Sliding her hand into her pocket she retreived her phone, and flipped it open. Twelve missed calls, the illuminated screen read. She growled, scrolling aimlessly through the people who'd rang her. Her mother, twice, Jen four times, and, wince, Brydan six times. Letting a sigh run through her gritted teeth she tried to view the text messages she had.
♥ Five, two from Jen and three from Brydan. She felt a pang of guilt as it became obvious that people were worried about her, although probably more annoyed than worried. Noticing the answer machine message alert flashing she rolled her eyes slightly, holding the phone to her ear. A few minutes later her mothers voice rang through her head, Hello darling, I was just wondering how you were. It seems you haven't had time to speak to me, or your father. I rang him last night to see if he'd heard from you, but apparently not. Perhaps you're just busy with studies. Effy laughed at this part when she thought about the events of the night, and how her mother thought the reason she didn't talk to her was because she was busy, with studies. Anyway, just to tell you that I love you, and I hope everything's okay. You're coming home for Christmas I assume, Brendon and Sebastian miss you... And then the phone went dead. She slammed the phone shut in her shaking hand, pushing it back in her pocket angrily.
♥ Taking Harpers hand in hers, she kissed his palm and smiled softly at him. "C'mon, let's go inside, I'm freezing..." Dropping his hand she let herself out of the car, standing in the cold breeze as she waiting for him to do the same.
